Katy Perry announces new album “Woman's World”

Katy Perry Announces “Woman’s World”: A Celebration of Strength (2024 July)

Katy Perry was the most famous and significant pop singer in the world ten years ago. Madonna was just a memory from the 1980s and 1990s, and Taylor Swift was still a long way from becoming a worldwide star.

After her album “Prism” came out in 2013, Perry gave the world and a generation of girls and young women who are now adults a new anthem of empowerment called “Roar.” It joined the famous “Firework” as a war cry for the movement to empower women.

Perry has not been as popular since then, though. Both of her albums, “Witness” (2017) and “Smile” (2020), didn’t get as much attention or success as her other hits, and not a single track became an icon. Since Katy wasn’t in charge of the charts like she used to be, she worked on being a mom and a judge on American Idol to keep her fame.

Perry just stated that her new album, “143,” will be out on September 20th, four years after the last one. She also released a new song called “Woman’s World” yesterday, along with a widely praised music video. It was a long-awaited return for an artist like her.

Another failed attempt at a comeback

Things haven’t gone exactly as planned, though. So far, the song hasn’t had the big effect of many of her other hits, and professional music critics have been very harsh on it. Other sites, such as The Guardian, Pitchfork, Vulture, The Cut, and Consequence of Sound, have bad things to say about the first song from her new album.

One reviewer called the song “a regressive, warmed-over hell,” and another said, “an anthem needs to have a message, and ‘Woman’s World’ does not have one.”Pitchfork said, “The pop singer’s comeback single goes against all taste standards; it’s too sad to even be considered camp.” The Cut said, “Katy Perry is stuck in 2016,” which is terrible.

She has also been in a lot of trouble because she is working with the famous producer Dr. Luke again. Dr. Luke is responsible for some of her biggest hits, but he has been accused of sexual assault by several people, including singer Kesha, who sued him years ago for abuse.

Perry’s fans don’t like this and want to know where is Katy Perry that little girls and young women look up to and connect with through songs like “Firework” and “Roar”? Katy gave one of the best halftime shows at the Super Bowl in years. Where is she now?

Then they don’t want to hear about the crazy idea that she sold his soul to the Devil to get success that she no longer has.
