However, if you Google something as easy as “When did Denzel Washington have cancer? “, you will discover that it is all made up to get attention.
Many articles about this were made on fact-checking sites like Snopes and Yahoo! movies showed up when I looked this up. Every one of these websites said the story was not true. Yahoo! Movies and Snopes say that these rumors began to spread in December 2019.

In 2023, SPC Magazine published a story called “Is Denzel Washington Sick?” All about the famous actor’s fatal cancer and the latest health news for 2023.
In that, it was said that he had been stricken with cancer. It was also called “Actor Denzel Washington was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he left fans with endless grief,” and it was on YouTube. The movie was taken down, but it had over 2,000 views before that.
Snopes says that even though the title of the video said that the actor had been diagnosed, the video itself didn’t say anything about the sickness.
The video and story didn’t back up what they said with any facts. They also didn’t give any information about the illness or proof that it was diagnosed.
