Donald Lee Grandgeorge was born on June 28, 1957, in Webster City, Iowa. He is the son of Philippe Dean and Evelyn (Zeka) Grandgeorge. He went to school in both Woolstock and Eagle Grove. In 1975, he graduated from Eagle Grove High School.
Don married Sue Tschetter at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove on June 23, 1979. They have three children together: Jana, Jill, and Brad.

Don worked in farming and farmland for most of his life because he loved it so much. In 2022, he and Brad started farming together, which had been his dream for a long time. He loved showing cattle and pigs with his kids and grandkids for many years and going to all of their events, even dance recitals. Going to the Wright County and Iowa State Fairs every year was one of his favorite memories.
Don was on the Woolstock Elevator Board and the Wright County Fair Board for a long time.
Don died suddenly on September 9, 2024, when he was 67 years old. Dean Grandgeorge, his father, Carson Link, his grandson, and Lois Tschetter, his mother-in-law and grandmother all died before him.
Don’s wife, Sue Grandgeorge, of Eagle Grove, his children, Jana Beisell (Brook) of Spirit Lake, Jill Link (Korey) of Eagle Grove, and Brad Grandgeorge (Paige) of Eagle Grove, as well as seven grandchildren, Avery, Hudson, Kenlee, Maddox, Zayne, Deanna, and Logan, and his mother, Evelyn Grandgeorge, of Eagle Grove, survive him.

So do his brothers, Mike Grandgeorge (Katy) of Ames Bob Grandgeorge (Camilla) of Woolstock, and Scott Tschetter (Karen).
It will be held at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., friends and family can visit at Foust Funeral Home. Woolstock Township Cemetery is where the body will be buried.
