Grocery Outlet has officially opened its third location in the Las Vegas Valley at 9320 S. Eastern Avenue. The discount grocery store opened its doors to the public at 8 a.m. on Thursday, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m.
The new east Las Vegas store comes as rising grocery costs continue to impact local households. Known for offering lower prices than conventional supermarkets, Grocery Outlet’s expansion is expected to bring some financial relief to valley residents. This location follows the second store that opened on January 30 in Henderson and arrives less than two years after the first local store opened off Blue Diamond Road.
To celebrate the opening, the first 100 customers received a Bliss Buck gift card containing a mystery amount ranging from $5 to $500. Shoppers also received a free reusable bag with any purchase during opening week, while supplies last.
As part of the launch event, the store’s independent operators made a $1,000 donation to The Boys and Girls Club of Southern Nevada, SafeNest, and the Salvation Army of Southern Nevada.
In addition, customers who shop at the new Grocery Outlet stores from Thursday through May 30 can enter to win $1,000 in free groceries. The chain has also announced plans to open two more valley locations later in May, though exact addresses have not yet been disclosed.
This opening follows a recent wave of grocery store launches across the valley. On the same day, ALDI opened two new locations — one in Henderson and another in North Las Vegas — with a third scheduled for May. Also, H Mart, one of the largest Asian supermarket chains in the U.S., recently opened its first Las Vegas location in Spring Valley.
These developments come on the heels of a LendingTree study showing that Nevada households face the fourth-highest grocery bills in the country.
