Steve Burton, the 54-year-old actor known for his role on General Hospital, has tied the knot with chef and content creator Michelle Lundstrom, 44. The couple exchanged vows on Saturday, May 17, in a private Orthodox church ceremony followed by an exclusive oceanfront reception at Montage Laguna Beach, California. The intimate church service was attended only by immediate family, while 45 close friends and family joined them for the seaside celebration.
Lundstrom, who appeared on Netflix’s Barbecue Showdown 2, wore a custom, strapless couture gown designed by Lee Petra Grebenau. She described the dress as “romantic with a vintage vibe,” which she selected alongside her two daughters, Lilah (14) and Hannah (10). Burton’s three children—Makena (21), Brooklyn (10), and Jack (19)—also participated in the wedding party, along with General Hospital stars Jonathan Jackson and Lisa Vultaggio.
The reception, set on a coastal bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, featured romantic touches including stunning florals by Honey Bear Events, soft candlelight, and a palette of blush, ivory, and sea glass green. Reflecting their shared love for ’80s music and movies, the couple requested a pianist and DJ to play ’80s romance songs during the cocktail hour and reception, while their first dance was to “I Choose You” by Forest Blakk.
According to PEOPLE, Burton described the day as “the beginning of forever with the love of my life.” Lundstrom echoed his sentiments, calling their marriage a source of immense peace and happiness. She said Burton is “like pure sunshine—always uplifting, endlessly caring,” and that his love makes her a better person every day.

The couple celebrated with a candlelit dinner featuring culinary creations from the Montage’s master chefs. Burton, who requested a wedding cake tasting close to a classic grocery store sheet cake, eventually agreed to a vanilla sponge cake with cream and fresh berries. The newlyweds also hosted a Sunday brunch the day after the wedding to celebrate once more with their guests.

Burton and Lundstrom became engaged just four months prior to the wedding. Lundstrom noted that planning the wedding so quickly alongside The Ashlyn Company was “fun and a little crazy,” but the couple didn’t want to wait to become husband and wife. Burton, who separated from his wife of 23 years in May 2022, confirmed his relationship with Lundstrom in May 2024, shortly before bringing her as his date to the Daytime Emmy Awards.
The couple’s romantic journey began with a deep friendship that blossomed into love, culminating in Burton’s proposal on January 3 in Nashville, Tennessee, at a farm with string lights and a small chapel. After the heartfelt proposal, the couple danced surrounded by rose petals and candles, before celebrating with close family and friends.
They are currently honeymooning in Maui, Hawaii, embarking on their new life together.
