The Pacific Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Artistic Director Chris Walden, will wrap up its 2024–25 season with a special performance showcasing jazz, swing, and the Great American Songbook. The concert will feature acclaimed jazz vocalist Tierney Sutton and Israeli-born clarinetist and saxophonist Anat Cohen on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.
Founded in 2022, the 40-piece Los Angeles-based hybrid big band and string orchestra has quickly gained a dedicated following for its vibrant and genre-spanning performances. The season finale promises a compelling blend of musical styles brought to life by two leading figures in the jazz world.
“This concert is a fantastic opportunity to highlight two extraordinary women in the jazz world,” said Walden, a seven-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated composer known for crafting original arrangements for each performance. “Anat Cohen and Tierney Sutton are both consummate musicians who bring tremendous excitement to their performances.”
Anat Cohen, a three-time GRAMMY® nominee, is celebrated for her dynamic stage presence and her fusion of jazz, swing, and Middle Eastern influences. Her performances have taken her to prestigious venues across the globe, where she is praised for her warmth, technical brilliance, and expressive style.
Tierney Sutton, a nine-time GRAMMY® nominee, is known for her masterful phrasing, rich vocal tone, and creative interpretations of classic American songs. With over two decades of global performances, she has built a reputation for delivering emotionally resonant storytelling through music.

The ensemble’s work is made possible through the continued support of The Herb Alpert Foundation, which fully funded its inaugural season and remains a key sponsor in 2024–25. Additional support comes from Gregory Annenberg Weingarten’s GRoW @ Annenberg.
